TestLab Mehtimäki Events
A well-being and sports testing station is being
developed at Mehtimäki to meet the needs of a
wide audience. It will serve as a foundation for
offering new sports and wellness services and
create a multidisciplinary learning and research
environment for educational institutions. This
initiative is being developed by the City of Joensuu,
the Sports Institute of Eastern Finland (ISLO),
Karelia University of Applied Sciences, and the
University of Eastern Finland (UEF).
Sport Me Up business idea competition
Sport Me Up is a business idea competition held from April 1 to 30, 2025, seeking innovative business ideas to promote physical activity and well-being in the Mehtimäki area. The competition is open to individuals, students, entrepreneurs, and sports clubs.
